Parental Alienation:
Visitation resistance and refusal

Picture

Co-Parenting counseling

When there has been a history of suspected alienation Ms. Wheeler can work with the parents to help them establish a more healthy co-parenting relationship.

Often Ms. Wheeler is appointed by a Family Court Judge or a couple might decide as part of a mediation or settlement conference to utilize her services

Reunification

When a parent and child have not enjoyed time together in a time period, Ms. Wheeler will meet with the child(ren) to determine the cause of the alienation: alignment, estrangement, affinity, etc.  The process includes work with the estranged parent and the alienated child with the goal of reestablishing a good relationship.

Aftercare

After a reunification workshop in which a targeted parent and their alienated are given tools and psychoeducation experiences to help reunify them, Ms. Wheeler will monitor the progress of  healing and repair  .
